Adverbs. Degrees of Comparison. Irregular Forms.

Defenition.
An adverb is a part of speech used to describe a verb, adjective, clause, or another adverb.

Degrees of Comparison. One-syllable adverbs.
Adverbs (mostly adverbs of manner and some adverbs of other types) can form degrees of comparison in the same way as adjectives. 
One-syllable adverbs are formed into comparatives by adding the suffix «-er» to the end of the word. The superlative form is created by adding the suffix «-est» to the end.

Adverbs of two or more syllables (usually with the suffix "ly") form the comparative and superlative degrees by placing MORE, MOST before the adverb.

Of course, the rules we’ve just looked at have some exceptions, which are known as irregular adverbs. Below are the degrees of comparison for some of the most common irregular adverbs:
