The Statue of Liberty is one of the most famous sculptures in the USA and in the world, often referred to as a "symbol of New York City and the United States", "symbol of freedom and democracy"

The Statue of Liberty was built by October 28, 1886. The French gave the statue to the American people as a sign of friendship between France and America.
