THE REASONS FOR BORROWING
ENGLISH WORDS
1. To give a name to new objects: browser, touchpad, handsfree.
2. To give a more precise name to some Russian words: recruiter, virtual, spam.
3. To express a combination of words denoting one "whole" object: marketplace, foodcourt, thermopot, bluetooth
4. To make the language more expressive and attractive: sale, like, battle
5. To use anglicisms in different professional fields: outsourcing, computer, holding
